# How to get started

1. Login to api.helsinki.fi with HY Login Service
2. Go and create your own application connection from upper right User menu (Applications)
3. In applications page click big **+**-sign
4. Give your application connection a name and save it
5. Now you can subscribe your application to any API available in the API Gallery
6. When you subscibe as API user, you must select which Plan you prefer and which application of yours is used for this subscription.
